The sun gives me life.
Yet harsh rays cause me strife.
Without shelter I have problems
indeed!

So my butterfly, land!
As my protector you stand
That I bloom bright before going to
seed!

Here within adobe walls
A kitchen shelf holds bottles tall,
Filled with oils and secret things,
Blessed with luck the fetish brings.

Beams above adobe walls
Hold ladles, herbs, that they not fall.
Below them stand the special bins
For cooking stuff and baking tins.

Solo Performance Oil 8×6

A mountain flower, she swayed in the breeze,
With her mic and her skimpy grass skirt.
Encore! was sung
By the plants there among.
She took stage, Miss Black-eyed Susie.

Hey Paintbrush!
Someone surely put you there
On stage and under lights.
I think it was an artist's brush
That created such delight.

A flowery audience you can see
So wave and stand up tall.
You know you are the best one yet
Brushed up for such stage call.
